Example conversation
You: We need our corporate citizenship disclosure for the integrated report—how we govern ESG and responsible citizenship under King IV.
Agent: I’ll use the skill reference (Principle 3) and draft a disclosure that explains: the board’s oversight of responsible corporate citizenship; our approach to environmental, social and governance matters material to us; key initiatives or focus areas; and how we report on citizenship. I’ll link it to the apply-and-explain (Principle 3) and to stakeholder and strategy sections where relevant.

Oversight
The board ensures that the organisation is and is seen to be a responsible corporate citizen (King IV Principle 3). The Social and Ethics Committee assists by monitoring our activities regarding ethics, ESG, stakeholder relationships and relevant legislation. Management implements our citizenship commitments and reports progress to the committee and the board.
Approach
We focus on material environmental, social and governance topics: [e.g. emissions and resource use, diversity and inclusion, labour practices, community investment, ethics and anti-corruption]. Our approach is set out in our corporate citizenship policy and in relevant operational policies. We align our disclosure with our strategy and with stakeholder expectations and, where appropriate, with recognised frameworks for sustainability reporting.
Reporting
Corporate citizenship performance is reported in this integrated report and in our [sustainability report / annual report]. We disclose how citizenship supports our licence to operate and long-term value creation. This disclosure forms part of our King IV apply-and-explain in respect of Principle 3.
