Overview
Guided elaboration of OH&S management system documentation for ISO 45001: context, hazard identification, risk assessment, legal and other requirements register, consultation and participation, and OH&S objectives. Verifies hazard–legal linkage and flags missing review dates or compliance status.
Getting Started
Add your source materials to the project workspace, then activate the OHSMS Hazard & Legal Author skill. The agent will guide you through the process step by step.
Example Conversation
You: We’ve identified hazards for our warehouse and assembly area. I need a legal and other requirements register for OH&S and to link hazards to the relevant regulations.
Agent: I’ll create a legal register template (source, applicability, review date, compliance status) and run
check_legal_register_ohson your hazard register to see if legal requirements are referenced. Then we can link each hazard to applicable obligations.Agent: The tool found your hazard section but no clear legal/other requirements section yet. It also warned that the legal register should include a review date and compliance status for each obligation. I’ve added a legal register template and a “Linked obligations” column to your hazard table so we can reference regulation IDs (e.g. national OHS law Art. 12, local fire code).
You: Populate the register with the three regulations we already have.
Agent: Done. After you add review dates and compliance status, re-run
check_legal_register_ohsto clear the warnings.

Run the tool on your hazard register, legal register, or OH&S manual after drafting or updating.
Getting Started
Start by activating the OHSMS Hazard & Legal Author skill. The agent will guide you through hazard identification, risk assessment, legal register creation, and OH&S objective setting.
Have this information ready:
- A list of your main work activities and their associated hazards (e.g., working at heights, manual handling, chemical exposure, mobile plant operation)
- Applicable OH&S legislation and regulations (e.g., national OHS Act, industry-specific regulations, codes of practice)
- Your risk assessment methodology preferences (severity/likelihood matrix dimensions)
- Any existing hazard registers, safe work method statements, or risk assessments you want to build on
- Details of recent incidents or near-misses that should feed into hazard identification
- Names and roles of people responsible for implementing controls
If the Organization Profile skill has already been completed, the agent will automatically reference it for industry sector, worker demographics, locations, and regulatory environment — you won’t need to repeat that information.
The skill produces four key outputs: a hazard register with risk assessment and hierarchy of controls, a legal and other requirements register, a planning action log with owners and target dates, and OH&S objectives with measurable targets.
