USA Guardian Designation
Get Started with This SkillOverview
Draft and validate a designation of guardian for minor children (person and/or property) in the USA.
Getting Started
Add your source materials to the project workspace, then activate the USA Guardian Designation skill. The agent will guide you through the process step by step.
Example conversation
You: I need to name a guardian for our minor children in case something happens to us; we want it in a separate document, not just in our will.
Agent: I’ll draft a designation of guardian naming your chosen guardian (and alternate) for your minor children, covering guardian of the person and/or property. I’ll include the required witness block and run guardian_designation_check. In Florida this can be filed with the clerk; in other states execution rules vary.

Guardian of the person — I nominate [Guardian Name] as guardian of the person of my minor child(ren), with authority to make decisions regarding their care, health, education, and residence.
Alternate — If [Guardian Name] is unable or unwilling to serve, I nominate [Alternate Name] as guardian of the person.
Signature and witnesses — Signed in the presence of two attesting witnesses present at the same time.
Extension and validation
The skill includes guardian_designation_check, which validates the designation for: declarant(s), minor(s), guardian(s) (person and/or property), alternate(s), and signature/witness block. Run it after drafting to confirm required elements are present.
